This is a beautiful golf course and country club. I attend functions at the country club and love it.

Let us keep this stunning green space unharmed for the Benoni area. The reasoning behind this proposal is purely for self-enrichment.
It is obvious that the proposal to develop the BCC was taken in isolation and the loss of capital that was spend on the infrastructure and upkeep of this establishment over the years was not brought to book. Many other vacant lands are available that will be more suitable for property development and that will realise more value for the surroundings in the Benoni area.
The Morehill area in Benoni is already under severe service infrastructure strain and further development will just create unnecessary stress on service delivery.
Furthermore, the severe impact of this proposed development on the Fauna and Flora speak to the inequality for these self-seeking individuals.

There is definitely alternative land that can be used for development. To develop anything on or near a golf course obviously increases value. Start your own country club & develop that land & see how the expenses sky rocket. Possibly someone is walking like a penguin from the council.

It would be morraly wrong to change the use of this well established club for the gain of companies or individuals for personal gain when it's benefits are there for the use of the community and its supporters from other individuals and clubs.

Benoni Country Club is a 110 year old heritage, owned and enjoyed by the Community of Benoni which is not for Sale.
I sign this petition in favour of no development at Benoni Country Club, and I am strongly opposed to the sale of the land to Developers or for Development of any kind

An absolute disgrace, that these developers manipulate the Council this way, this is what happen another golf estate close by just read the Nose Week Article 1637 that's all over Facebook surely they learnt back then.
