Once the space is gone Benoni can never ever get this back. There is plenty of other space that can be used and there is not a huge demand for this specific area that cannot be fulfilled elsewhere. We need to protect our green areas. The profit for developers last a very short and maybe buys a TV or car while but the area is gone for ever.

The area does not have the necessary infrastructure in order to support any more housing - we already have problems with the infrastructure as it is. In addition, the Benoni Country Club is one of the few safe, green areas within Benoni. Why should one of the only areas we have that can be safely enjoyed be taken away for yet another housing development?! I am absolutely opposed to the sale and development of the Benoni Country Club.
We need recreation areas. No development please.
