There are 10,352 other mixed small business & residential buildings in Cook County that are at 10% property tax rate (class 2-12), yet he wants to single out 23 small business, the only ones that actually followed the law and got licensed for their over-night lodging business for this huge unfair tax increase, ignoring the over 4,000 vacation rentals & airbnbs that are illegally operating in the city. How can this possibly be?
