There is no logic in this. The damage that will be done to these small businesses is irreparable. Once they are gone, they won't come back.

B&BS provide a wonderful way to experience Chicago and the new 25% tax is unwise as well as unfair to these small businesses. This new higher tax would be a detriment to not only the B&BS but to the travelers who enjoy the personal touch and neighborhood experience when visiting Chicago. I don't want to change cities when I plan my nest meeting with old friends in Chicago!

As a former B&B owner, it is absurd to assess any B&B as you would a larger commercial facility. B&B's like most small businesses today are being pushed out of business by political red tape and taxing.

Having B&Bs in the neighborhood allows not-for-profit organizations to bring in out of town speakers within the budget allocation. The convenience as well as the comfort for them is truly appreciated.

Lovely B&B (Two Urns), would be a shame for Chicago to do this to small business owners

Please do not make it more difficult for Bed and Breakfasts to survive. They offer a wonderful service and a quality alternative to high-priced hotels. The Two Urns is spectacular with such caring and attentive owners.
