Keep Battersea beautiful. I'm sure there are other places in London you can build on which would actually benefit from this... just keep your hands off our parks... it's what keeps us the best city in the world.

Park is for people not for cars and races.

Noise pollution is on the increase. We've already had to endure unreasonable noise from corporate events in Battersea Park over the Christmas holidays, on top of dis functional and antisocial neighbours who install laminate floors in the purpose-built flats along the Prince of Wales Drive. Destruction and pollution of urban green areas is ecologically unsound and just plain wrong.

I'd like to see the park kept the way it is and not massively overhauled for a commercial event that is causing an ugly facade to be laid onto the park

The whole purpose of a park is to serve as a tranquil space away from development and traffic. We have roads for events like this. What mad/corrupt individuals came up with this idea, and why were users of the Park and local residents not given the opportunity to comment on the proposals?

I couldn't think of anything more incongruous than a race track for cars in a central London victorian park, clearly this is more about money than the peoples right to green space.

It is totally disgraceful that an Event as large as this was seen not fit to have been put to the local residents for their consideration and views? This stinks of corruption and back handers and has no place in a beautiful park like Battersea. Totally out of place and completely wrong? I will happily joimn the blockade planned to disrupt the whole Event. Take it to a proper Racetrack like Brands Hatch or Silverstone. I feel that the whole process should be thoroughly investigated to see how far it has come to fruition without actually consulting the people who live around this Park but I guess they are too afraid.

Ludicrous to be tearing up greenery for an 'environmentally friendly' sporting event. Battersea Park is a tranquil oasis of green peace in a city with too many cars. Wandsworth has yet again followed the more. This event mustn't happen beyond this year.

This is very sad for the residents of Battersea, Wandsworth, It is ridiculous that the residents were not given a chance to vote on such a project. Car racing is a great event, but to destroy the park that many have enjoyed for many years, is an utter shame. Not to say the least the confusion it will cause during their events. This has been a real bad decision on the council, again it's a financial thing.. Sad, Sad, sad.

one point we should note is how underhand Formula E have been in orchestrating the destruction of the park for the racetrack.
The original plans showed a race track that did not involve widening the roads and digging up the grass to replace it with asphalt.
Once people got comfortable with that idea, they changed it at the last minute before submission, to a new track that involved the destruction of the park to give it sufficient width. This is disgusting behaviour.
Please preserve our park!
Outrageous. Legal?
