To Whom It May Concern,
By signing this petition, I am showing you my international endorsement of education initiatives undertaken by Canadians in Morocco - particularly those carried out in the Kela'a des Sraghna region and which include the Bassma Primary School of El Attaouia (owned by Bassam Mahfoud and Nakita Valerio).

The bureaucratic stalling that is happening with regards to primary school authorization for this project due to the Kela'a des Sraghna provinicial government is an absolute shame on the record of your government and its continual commitment to high-quality education in rural areas. They have continually offered cheap excuses and erroneous demands for structural changes to the school while simultaneously offering authorization to inferior schools in the region without hesitation.

I implore you to intervene and investigate the real motives behind your bureaucrats withholding the authorization where there can be no reasonable compromise made. This issue has become international and should be taken very seriously.

Thank you for your time.

Pour qui cela peut concerner;

We are approaching two hundred and fifty signatures and that milestone will force local officials to acknowledge the international pressure building against their stalling tactics. Please send the link to your contacts right now so we can push past this target before the provincial reviewers meet again.

Seeing one hundred people stand with us for the children of El Attaouia is overwhelming. I know how much this school means to our community and having your backing gives me renewed hope that we can finally get past this bureaucratic wall.

SHAMEFUL. These people are trying to help and you are just blocking them for no reason. Fix this now.

The teachers there are doing amazing work. It makes me so mad that they are being treated this way by local officials.

This is ridiculous. Kids need a place to learn and the government is just making up hoops to jump through. Let the school open already.

Total incompetence. How can you approve bad schools but not this one? Makes no sense at all.

Why block a good school when there is nothing else in the area? Stop playing politics with children's futures.
