These events are a social way of practicing and enjoying our hobby. I can hear a high school band practicing a mile from my house, I've never heard a bass competition when it's held 2 blocks from my home. There's not much a disabled veteran can do but going to the competitions help avoid the horrific thoughts and depression I deal with on a daily basis. Please allow the events to remain, even if guidelines are set to where it can't be played longer than 10 secs or they have to be held away from populated areas.

I fully support any car audio enthusiasts and groups therein. I would love to start my own organization in my town.

I think this is ridiculous. We are not hurting anyone by doing what we love. It no different than a concert as far as the noise levels. There are a lot worse things we could be doing. A weekend competition shouldn't be any problems with the right permits. This happens all the time at car shows and audio shows around the nation. What's the difference between this and say a Harley Davidson motorcycle that has obnoxiously loud pipes on them. Harley even patented that sound. This is crazy that we can't do what we love but it's ok if I go buy a Harley Davidson and drive it around town.

I just don't understand why people don't like our passion for what we do

It's been ruled in several communities around the United states that our "loud music" is part of our freedom of speech. In those parts of the US it would be against our civil liberties to desanctify these types of events.

These are needed in our community and good clean fun. If it offends anyone. They need a hobby.
