As an active Bay Area ballroom dancer for 25 years, I saw many studios open and some that closed. But I have never seen a groundswell of community support like this. The petition drive to save Cheryl Burke Dance in Mountain View speaks volumes about the benefits and popularity now associated with ballroom dancing. In a world increasingly linked by technology, opportunities to "connect" in-person for recreation, health, and social interaction are more important than ever before. A balanced lifestyle is an invaluable personal goal. This studio has proved, time and time again, that it excelled in serving dancers — as well as the surrounding community by supporting civic causes and nonprofit organizations.

This is a great dance venue with fantastic instructors. My fiancé & I have shared some wonderful memories here. There are simply not many high quality venues like this in the Peninsula.

This has been such a gift to teens and young adults who want a LEGAL, fun, safe place to dance and socialize. Especially here in the bay area, a place like this is so necessary to encourage healthy outlets. Please extend the lease as long as possible.

Please extend the lease as long as possible. Some dancers are in the process of replacement venues but the amount of notice did not give sufficient time for the necessary paperwork and re-modeling needed. Please consider more time to allow continuity for all concerned. Best regards, lynn sanders

PLEASE EXTEND THE LEASE for the Cheryl Burke Dance Studio!! Our community needs healthy and fun outlets like dancing that are good for all ages in order to be creative and active. Plus, the large space you have available is very difficult to find in our area. I encourage you to help keep our community creative, active and healthy and extend the lease for Cheryl Burke Dance.
