It's terrible that they are putting meters there. Business will close. People will loose jobs and in this current climate jobs are hard to get. Re think this please.

If there was meters I wouldn't stop on the Main Street, I would drive right by to supermarket which is wrong. We've got to have a short stay for free at least.

Scrub the place up; give it a good clean. Keep the businesses going, the council and other keep having a downer on business; they keep places like Baillieston going. No business, no Baillieston!

Why are councils so blinkered and stupid at times? They destroy local shopping areas, destroy independent shops and peoples' livelihoods taking away any sense of community. Bonkers!!!

I agree with this as o have stopped using butchers due to this problem. Some people just abuse free parking.

Defo not fair on the local shops , people will just drive by and go to morrisons or barrachnie . I think parking bays are sufficient enough so people aren't parking too close or double parking. in some cases it would take up more time paying the meter than it would running in to a shop and back for a paper or prescription etc.
