I have been going to back door donuts since I was 6 years old when we started vacationing in MV. Fast forward 12 years and now I get to bring my daughter and family there. It’s a tradition! Back door donuts must be saved!

Not only is this an iconic and long-standing entity on the island, it is also a unique venue which fosters community and supports small business. Children and adults alike from around the world come to savor the delicious taste of freshly baked goods and it would be a tremendous loss to the island. Lastly, islanders can't say they support local business and also tourism while, at the same time, sabotage businesses that enhance the community and employ residents. I fully support Back Door Donuts and hope it never closes

Summer nights are the lifeblood of our island. Backdoor Donuts doesn’t just serve the tourists. They serve the service workers, the hospitality staff, and hardworking islanders who want to go out and have fun while the island is alive and vibrant with the thrum of visitors. People who choose to purchase property or reside in downtown areas should understand the community they’re joining and respect that community.
