My family has been going to Martha’s Vineyard for over 30 years. We have been going to the back door before all the lines. I’m sure you hear stories like this all the time. The bakery provides work for people only a portion of the year. My question is- what would the island do if no one came during the summer months? The donuts and apple fritters are AMAZING. Save the back door bakery!!

Back door donuts must stay! Every time we visit MV for family vacation, it’s been a tradition to go to them for delicious treats. Island will never be the same without them.

My Triplets grew up on Backdoor Donuts. They are 27 years old now but spent many teenage summer nights getting donuts.

You have to be a pretty unhappy person in life if you want to go after a donut shop. The last two - three years have been really rough on everyone mentally, emotionally and financially. Especially small businesses. I feel bad for the person who is so unhappy in life that they feel they need to try to stop an iconic donut shop tradition!
