As a fourth generation island lover - whose great grandparents and grandparents lived and were raised on island, and who has lived and worked on island herself - backdoor donuts has been a family tradition for longer than I’ve been alive. It is a part of old and new memories alike. It’s been a place to run into old friends, bring new family, and delight in the sweetness of life. Taking away this experience will break generational tradition for so many. The vineyard is a place for family and friends to come together and backdoor donuts is a perfect representation of that. Please let backdoor donuts late night remain an island staple that so many cherish and adore.

No visit to the vineyard is complete without a late night visit to Back Door Donuts. It’s a tradition worth planning an entire day around. So many memories, met so many people in line and shared laughs and stories. Don’t take this out of the world. We need more of this, not less!!
