Back door donuts is a beloved long time institution on the Vineyard. I went when I was young, and now enjoy getting a late night donut with my kids. It it is part of the magic of the island.

Back door donuts is a treasured community institution. Anyone trying to shut them down does not have a true understanding of Marthas Vineyard or Oak Bluffs. Please represent the communities interest and dont let one rich person rampage over the rest of the island. I’ve been coming to Marthas Vineyard for 30 years and am horrified that wealthy newcomers would try to pull a cheap stunt like this.

My husband and myself had the best times going to Back Door Donuts. It would be sad to see an annual family tradition leave the island. Please keep Back Door Donuts “back door party” open!

This has been our tradition, anytime we visit family on MV my kids walked or biked to get everyone a fritter! They love waiting in line at night for fresh baked goods!
