The building should be kept and made use of, I agree with the other comments about the lack of character Aylesbury now has because old has made way for new. The Council

Aylesbury is such a an unsightly place now with the tacky constructions that have been allowed by planning. The Blue Leanie, that hideous bridge, the ridiculous theatre etc. These old buildings of character should be saved before Aylesbury looks like Milton Keynes.Concrete, steel and glass.

Exactly Wendy. The Councils want us to recycle - isn't about time they did the same ? Please, save some of this towns history.

We'll done Arthur, here here, we need to fight back against these stupid demolition happy politicians/planners, and preserve what little there is of old Aylesbury.
How about getting these planners to demolish the eyesore , which is now empty, which has been hiding the Beautiful old Tudor building of the Kings Head for many years . They are obsessed in building new, why can 't we restore old buildings any more ?

Well, - isn't that just typical of Aylesbury! The police station is not just an attractive building, - it's one of the few historic buildings remaining that hasn't yet been demolished!! Planners, - you want a "temporary" car-park. Don't you realise that when this building has gone, - it's gone FOREVER! Or were you thinking that after this "temporary" arrangement you might put it back up again!? So much of Aylesbury's history has disappeared, particularly since the sixties, - mostly to be replaced by "just another" shopping mall so typical of those in other bland townships.
