My family has history in this dragstrip and it would be a shame to lose it all just because someone wanted to build an auction house on top of it!

This is history, and it should be preserved in that manner. We don't need illegal street racing, we don't need citizens feeling the need to rebel. We just moved to Atco and we want to see it's history preserved as it is! Tradition is what is being lost in America!

Why would you close down an area staple? Over 60 years it's been there, to only he replaces by a car lot? How many businesses would be affected by this closure? How many kids won't cut their teeth at a track and instead end up dead on a highway because they have a fast car and nowhere to safely and legally use it? Instead of going to the raceway to be with family and friends kids will just stay glued to their video games, tablets, and cellphones. We need more places like this for the sport, not less. E-Town already closed the drag strip, if Atco follows suit and shutters their doors, then what?

Started racing at Atco in 1968, continued to race on and off for over 30 years, track needs to stay open.

I love the track. I took my daughters there as youngsters. I have a 1971 Roadrunner and 3 other Mopars. 2006 Convertible turbo Pt Cruiser, Chrysler 300, and a Challenger. It’s Mopar or no car!!
