My family visit this park every day, sometimes twice a day. It's a safe and fun environment for my 3 children. A great walk for our dogs and I want it to remain as it is our park, to hold the memories that we cherish and create many many more.

too many of our parks have been built on. We need play/recreation areas for our young people to play and have fun, outdoors.

Wigan council need to stop allowing new housing development in Standish. There's plenty of brownfield areas in Wigan to clear before we need to look at clearing parks & encroaching onto greenbelt.

We need what green spaces we have left. Our children need somewhere to play, we need places to walk our dogs and areas to get away from the traffic without having to drive for miles. The council are trying to remove this area from us. As they don't live here, they have no right to decide what happens to our green spaces. If they want more houses, build them near where they live.

Please remember when you the council were all children.I am sure most of you if not all loved to have the "FREEDOM" of being able to run free in a Park.

We know what you are trying to do by removing the changing rooms to downgrade the sports status of our park. This is now one the only open space and play facility in standish - hands off!
