Please save our school. Arts high was the 1st of its kind in the country. It deserves to be spared.

Just research our legacy of our well known graduates and the not as known but even more successful and that's just a tip of the Iceburg to put the kabosh on this idea for eradicating our beloved AHS.

Oh hell now! I may not have any children, but I am one in a long standing line of AHS graduates. Both of my deceased siblings preceded me with high honors. My sister happened to be inducted into the NHS (National Honor Society) as a matter of fact. My brother was often on the honor roll throughout his tenure at Arts honed his superior art skills while there. As for myself, it took me a very shy, withdrawn young lady and helped me instill confidence in all aspects of my life. All three of us went on to college, spurring me to be the first college graduate of my family. I know that it is bcuz of my education received at this historically prestigious school, that I owe my finely tuned (no pun intended) ideas of how I view the world to this institution. They want to take this away from the city of Newark?!? Probably for a watered down version of what it means to be accepted and then graduate from AHS. No freakin way.

Arts High has educated the brightest and most gifted children in Newark since 1931. It is the prototype for the meaning of a successful high school in any community/neighborhood in the U.S. Arts High School has provided a safe haven and rigorous academics for the children who need it/us the most. And deservedly so!! Ms. Faz. 1990 - present SAVE OUR SCHOOL!!

This is sad to hear. I am hoping my signature as well as others will help keep the school open.

Arts High has a rich tradition and history in Newark. When I was there, the academic and artistic standards were very high. Also let us not forget that Arts High graduated such notable talent s like Melba Moore and Sarah Vaughan. There are many others who graduated from there and have gone on to achieve great success in life. Please leave Arts High school open.

To hear the school can potentially be shut down is heart breaking. My family has two generations at Arts high and it has been unforgettable memories there. High school would not have been the same any where else.

I went to Arts High school and had the best experience ever. I will pass this along to as many people I can. We cannot allow her to continue ruining our educational system.
