We live on Karen St. We walk almost every day and miss the beautiful neighborhood peacocks. Boo to the people who called to have them removed... that is their home and habitat and MOST of the surrounding neighbors enjoy their beauty, funny squawks, babies and having them be a part of the community. Hopefully they make it back!!!

I visited Amelia island over th summer and stayed with a friends aunt on Scott Rd. During this time, I was undergoing chemo for breast cancer. At a time when I wasn't very feeling good, these peacocks really brightened my day! Watching them, hand feeding them, and watching the mama's with their sweet babies was a highlight of my trip! Please bring these beautiful birds back to Scott rd where they belong! This is THEIR home, as much, if not more, than everyone else's!

I sincerely hope we can get the birds back. 99% of the neighborhood enjoyed the birds. It is a real shame that two of our so called neighbors snuck around and tried to do this to all of the rest of us. There are so many ways to keep the birds out of your yard if you don't want them there I can't count them all.

Can't believe ANYONE would take that much action against the community, knowing full well what part the Peacock's have played and contributed to our culture. I'm a 5th generation resident.

What they did is criminal.

Most all animals do SOMETHING that us humans do not like. So, what are we going to do, just get rid of all the wildlife on the planet? ARGH.

I think the people complaining should be relocated, not the peacocks!

The removal of the peafowl, without discussion amoung all residents, is a travesty.

I miss the birds. I like noise and I don't mind picking up after them. They make us unique.

If the birds have been there for that long, then maybe others should respect the fact that we have invaded their home. Put them back.
