The council are considering the closure of Allerton and Kirby Golf Courses. These are the only two municipal golf courses in Liverpool. If the council close these two these courses, its members and the public will not be able to continue playing as the fees for a Private club are far too expensive.
Please sign our petition and help us to keep these clubs open.
I have been spending my mornings at the course talking to folks who have played these fairways for decades and the anxiety about losing this space is palpable. We are currently gathering all your stories to present to the council so they understand exactly what these greens mean to our community.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like a weight has been lifted because these courses are where my father taught me the game when we had nowhere else to turn. I am reading every single story you leave here and it reminds me that we are fighting for a community that refuses to be pushed out.

Ridiculous decision. Allerton is a staple in the area. Leave it alone.
