Do not make people go to the university. Keep adie Knox as is to serve the community. $42 million is a waste of money

You need to keep this pool open for the citizens of Windsor...something that is NOT happening with the new pool!

There is no reason why Adie Knox Herman (AKH) should be closed down. The whole purpose of constructing the facility in the first place was to offer the west side residence, seniors, adults, teens and young children a fun, safe and convenient place to enjoy health and recreational activities. Closing down Adie Knox would be a huge mistake. It would not only be putting people out of work who are already employed there but take away the staple of the community. This building is a historical place that was built in the early 1970's for the people on the west side from Adie Knox herself. Read the will mayor! This building is owned by the taxpayers not you! How can you close down a facility that does not belong to you in the first place? Mayor your project is a selfish and criminal act on your behalf. People living on the west side do not have the time, funds or transportation to relocate to an area that is more expensive and has no parking to accomodate its members. In addition, the only reason why you built that establishment was to bring in more money from a population of swimmers that would push out the ability for windsor rites to swim. I do not see any reason why we should all be forced to go to this new water park downtown when windsor already has so many other already established parks and rec centers. Adie Knox is the only one on the west side that offers all the amenities needed for it's seniors, adults, teens, and children in one location. I guarentee, if Adie Knox is shut down, I for one will not attend this new center with any of my family or friends. In fact I will start a petition to boycott it.Shame on you mayor for trying to force assimilation on your west side community. I dont believe keeping adie knox open will have any effect on your new pool erected downtown. Keep ADIE KNOX HERMAN (AKH) open!!!

Save Adie Knox because it's a great part of the West End with history, life and richness. Save Adie Knox because it's where I learned to swim...where many of us learned to swim. (It's also where I almost drowned, but that's another story) Save Adie Knox because it is important. Let it be, Windsor. Build around it, not over it.

I am just an out of shape adult who desperately needs the pool for exercise, especially in winter. Please leave it open!

I am against closing down necessary services like the Adie Knox Herman Pool. We drive from the east end because my daughter takes swimming lessons there. It's convenient to get to from the expressway and straight up dominion. We appreciate the free and convenient parking and the location also gives us an opportunity to support some of the restaurants there. Closing it down is unfair to the seniors and families who live within close walking distance to the pool who would do not have transportation or additional financial resources to attend the aquatic centre in the downtown city core. In addition, senior's in the area use it for exercise and therapeutic reasons. I urge you to keep Adie Knox Herman pool open for the benefit of the community.

This Pool is absolutely excellent in every way. Closing it does not make sense in any way!

We can't afford to close another pool. Seniors and kids need local access to a swimming pool year round.

We are a student family. I take my 20 month old daughter to the pool at Windsor Water World every week because it is an excellent way for her to exercise and develop her gross motor skills. She loves the water and loves swim time. With the prices listed at the new Acquatic complex, I will no longer be able to take her - we simply cannot afford $15 per week. This is a lot of money for many, many families. Please continue to offer affordable swimming for those of us who have no other option.

please think of the people with low income that will not be able to afford the new complex.
