The implications of this outrages decision is going to have serious repercussions not only in the loss to people who need this service and their families, but also in the cost to society in healthcare for people affected by having no exchange facility for their drug use. Also in other costs where people loose support and go backwards in recovery.

This is a crying Shame. It really annoys me. As a user of this facitity I cannot believe some people are even considering that we don't need Maureen and her team. Lifesaver they genuinely are

Great communiyu service for people of all walks of life who have experienced the terrible impact addiction has had on the community. If ADAPT closes where do these decision makers suggest people go for help????

Blanchardstown needs this service and the people who use the services have only ever spoke so highly of Maureen Penrose.

As as founding member of the Mountview / Blakestown Community Drugs Team and also ADAPT I'm really saddened that this decision has been made by the board.
I urge people to sign this petition, we must ensure that the services provided by ADAPT are delivered by a community based project and not the HSE!

The CDT was the most wonderful place for many many people over the last 19 years. I find it difficult to believe it doesn't have a role or future in Blanchardstown.

Unthinkable that this vital service is being lost to the community. I worked in this community for thirteen years and referred people to ADPT/CDT on a regular basis.

The full service currently being offerd by Adapt, is vital to, not only improving the quality of life and the further prospect of people struggling with substance issues. But also in combating that devastating effect drug abuse has on the community as a whole.
