I can't believe our government are been so stupid as to let such a needed service close down. I would not be where I am without the people who work for adapt. I think it's an absolute shame that they could even think of closing something in an area that needs the service so much. Our government should be ashamed. PEOPLE OF BLANCH GET OUT AND BACK ADAPT WE ALL KNOW SOMEONE WITH ADDICTION WHO NEED THIS SERVICE

I would ask that this necessary service be kept open for the people who suffer with addiction and also for the much needed support that their families receive.

I would like to know why an established and quality service which has been in our community for approx 20yr is being closed. This vital service continues to work to respond to the needs in the Community. . . . . Shame Shame.Shame on these DECISION MAKERS!

Save Adapt. These people save lives and communities every day , every week and every year. The death toll in Dublin 15 would be at least 100 times worse every year if it wasnt for the people of Adapt who dedicated there lives to working with people suffering from addiction and alcoholism and many many other problems that can ruin lives. These people never got the credit they truly deserve. They are the saints of our time. How can they take away the jobs that mean so much to Dublin 15. Taking away this service is admiting that the fight against drugs is lost and the future generations of kids that find themselves on the wrong track in life have nowhere to find help and sanctuary and most of all a brighter happier future. Crime will treble, drug use will increase and the graveyards will fill up with another generation lost. These are the dark facts of wats coming with closing down Adapt and removing these trusted people from us. God help us and Dublin 15. Shame on the government

A question was asked which I want to reply to but cannot find. It basically questioned the success rate of ADAPT/CDT. I don't know alot about the statistics or how you could define success here but I do know that over 19 years there are thousands of people who walked through the doors of the CDT and then ADAPT and found a place where they are treated with respect and helped and supported in so many different areas of their lives. The numbers were never what this was all about if this service has helped one person on their journey through addiction, one parent, grandparent, sibling or child struggling through the chaos that comes with loving an addict. If this service saved even one precious life is that not reason enough to keep going, keep trying, keep the doors open?

Wtf is up with our system at All.. closing Services thats badly needed and the stats should show this..its normal to get dry periods if you are Just Focusing on that..why not go out&see for yourself the carnage its creating..on the streets&estates of blanchardstown...ask the People of the community....ask the Youth..in other words do some ground work. I for one have used this service since its opened its doors. Between my own journey..my family availing of family support amongst Many other Services cdt(adapt) Has offered..its a lifeline for this area and it be a foolish ACT_ to close without examing every avenue..another thing maureen is a saint and know Her 30yrs shes the glue that helps mąkę things worth while be accountable
