Active is a foundational part of Reed’s Crossing as a model for healthy living. As a resident at The Ackerly, I have benefitted enormously from participating daily in Active’s superb programs that address my physical, social, and cognitive health. Like others, Active was the primary motivator for me to move here. Please let’s figure this out: I want to stay and continue to reflect the vision for this great community.

The Active Wellness Center truly is a powerful focus in the center of a growing community. Preserving such an asset can truly be a benefit not for the area but for Providence by clearly demonstrating its commitment to the area’s well being.

There has to be a way to combine the sports training center with community access.

This gym has been the first I’ve been able to be consistent at due to the facility itself but also because of the employees. They have always been welcoming and created a beautiful community especially Aleena and Diana!

Just joined last month. I was really looking forward to this being my long term gym.

Access to this combination of therapy pool, sauna, pool classes, yoga, and Pilates classes have been a key component in the successful treatment of my fibromyalgia symptoms which had been unresponsive to primary care and conventional physical therapy treatments for four years prior.

Health and well-being is promoted and practiced at the Active Wellness Center in a very unique community setting. Staff work to help fix what’s broken and prevent the needing to be fixed! Please reconsider the decision to close.

Please save our place of peace and wellness. This is an amazing space for our community it’s a pleasure to see common faces taking care of themselves and the staff is incredible! This space is very unique to most neighborhoods, the amount of wellness and mental health balance it provides for us all is priceless. Active Wellness in South Hillsboro - we love you!

Active is an important part of our community. Some folks don't have an option to travel to other gyms.

I have had a great experience at Active and took a break for a while due to having a garage gym but was just going to sign up before they closed. There are certain things that make it worth it to me that my home workouts can't replace: Pool, Sauna, breadth of workout machines, and community. There's also the proximity of it, it is right in the heart of our neighborhood so it's a clear choice, I love riding my bike over when it's 35F out to do swim+sauna, and ride back steaming from the sauna in only a swimsuit on my bike unphased by the cold.

Active Wellness is part of our routine toward good health. The pools are most important to my husband and I.

Please don’t close the gym. There must be a way to combine sports medicine with regular gym. Plenty of space.

Please meet with our community to find solutions for keeping Active Wellness open. It would be sad to lose such a beautiful facility in our community. Thanks!
