Closing brings a big blow to this community. There has to be some alternatives or options besides closing it down.

Having active wellness at Reeds Crossing has brought much health and joy to our family. It’s a terrible blow and lost to the community! Please don’t take this away. There’s nothing else nearby like it. It’s brand new and beautiful. It’s a landmark in the community. Please, please do not close it.

We desperately need this high quality fitness center in our area. Few resources like this exist for those of us like myself who wish to maintain good health throughout our senior years. Please don't take this away from us.

I have been a member for over a year. In that time, my health, my well-being, my diabetes, and eye surgery have all gone smoothly. I’ve lost 60 pounds and kept it off! My ministry has improved and I’ve met the best counselors and trainers. My life, and my well-being has improved, I’ve made forever friends and as a Senior I feel confident and secure in my body! Please keep AActive alive in our community. It’s really difficult to believe a health and wellness organization would close something so important, vital, and necessary to the entire community. Please reconsider closing this Center and leaving it open for the well-being of a grateful community.

I agree, wholeheartedly, it’s heartbreaking that this gym is closing. With all the new housing in the area, I imagine so many more people would have wanted to join. The staff is lovely and it was always kept so clean. There really isn’t anything like it in the area, especially anything that’s going to be paid for by insurance. Mine happens to be United Healthcare. This gym made me feel safe and gave me the incentive to get my life back

Many of the residents living at The Ackerly at Reeds Crossing enjoy going to the gym and pool at Active, I hope it stays open so they can continue using the facility!

This is such a vital place and service for this community and it would really be a horrible detriment to shut it down.

I am so disheartened the gym is closing. The staff are so friendly and supportive. It will be hard to find a replacement in the nearby area.

Such a short sighted decision. Prevention and active lifestyle reduce healthcare costs. Let’s do better Providence.

This is a great gym great facilities and staff. This is also a great location with the new neighborhood. It's sad and seems like poor planning to change things so soon.

With all the new housing development happening, not only is Active in the best location for the community to have a place of workout and bettering healthy life style but also a very impactful center compared to every other fitness center around.

We, the undersigned, urge you to recognize and protect the vital role Active Wellness Center plays in our lives.
This is more than just a fitness facility—it’s a place where countless individuals, especially seniors, have found strength, health, and community. Many of us have worked hard to improve our well-being here, and this center has become a cornerstone of our daily lives.
Please don’t disregard the people who depend on this space for physical health, emotional support, and social connection. We love our gym and deeply value the staff and members who have made it such a welcoming, uplifting place.
We ask that you take our voices seriously and support the continued operation of Active Wellness Center for the good of all who call it home.
