This place was a place where I built a community that helped me… and I hope that we see this as a place where community will continue to grow. This was a sanctuary to so many people who felt seen and heard finally and felt they could be themselves. I know I was able to be myself.

Please don’t close my gym. It’s my saving grace!

Closing the Active Wellness Center in the Providence facility would eliminate a vital health resource. It supports preventative care for seniors, many of whom rely on insurance-covered access. There are no other year-round swimming options in the area, and this has been a difference maker for physical and mental health. Shutting it down will harm public health and isolate those who need it most. We urge leaders to reconsider this decision. Providence is eliminating a service that is is beneficial for preventative health.

I'd love to see the pool accessible and affordable across the community for all ages and incomes!

It’s unfortunate people gave up their health memberships at other facilities and now you’re closing it. I strongly urge to re-consider, as this community will keep growing — this is a bad PR move on the part of Providence.

This gym has been a life savor for me. I have a community there and it is the heart of the community. Please keep this center open.
