Perhaps the Student Affairs Committee already put time and consideration into their decision, but I don't see the empathy. The D1 ethics course taught us that students are the ones responsible for seeking help to avoid these situations of raising their voice to staff or cheating, but in practice - when you have family, financial, and other truly burdening scenarios - it's challenging to ask for or get the support you need. The D2 schedule is rough, and on top of that he has 5 children to raise. That's the kind of student who needs help way more than punishment.

I have sat next to Dan in lab for the past 2 semesters and he has dedicated countless hours in and out of lab assisting me in any way he can, with absolutely no selfish gain. Dan is one of the most kind hearted, dedicated, self-less, and hardworking individuals I know. I personally have witnessed first hand a lot of what he has given up to be student at Touro. I am both appalled and disappointed at the harsh decision this institution has made towards my peer Dan.

Dan was my first friend at TCDM, he is family and deserves to be here. The school needs to reconsider their decision.

My heart goes out to Dan. I hope touro turn their decision. This is incredibly unfair.
