As a Marshall alumni, I strongly support keeping the YPI after school program at Marshall.

I am a Marshall parent. Please keep this program which offers critical after school activities at a school that is already underfunded and severely lacking in elective classes and arts opportunities. YPI is one of the few options for kids to explore extra curricular interests and provides a safe after school setting for kids who can't get home right after school. The program is the bare minimum of what the school needs for after school activities even in comparison to other LAUSD high schools which offer much broader after school activities. If anything it should be expanded!

These after school programs is how I selected my career. Ten years after I graduated Marshall, I can say I wouldn’t be working for Hulu, and interviewing for Facebook if I wasn’t allotted these after school opportunities.

I am a Marshall HS 10th grade student. Please reconsider decision not to fund Marshall HS after school programs. This is very important program and critical to student success
