Yeah, I think the city needs to stop spending all the money painting bike lanes on the road, and start putting up parking garages!!! The cyclists should really consider riding on less traveled roads, like in Snohomish or something!

Yeah, they way they are going to paint the roads is absurd. Totally the end of the world for the neighborhood. Nothing good can come of this.

Yeah I hear ya. This plan to not allow drivers on the roads is absurd!

I want to protect the businesses along 35th and keep the area accessible to my physically disabled friends.

How can you ruin our neighborhood parking and for the business people who will lose business? We senior citizens have lived here for 35 years because we like the low-key safe area. My husband is a biker and he has always found the bike lanes on 38th Ave. safe and accessible. Stop this insanity!!!!!!!!

As a cyclist for years and 35th ave commuter in my car I cannot imagine removing parking for all the quick stops I do Also I do not think 35th should be used for cycling because it is too busy Corinne Hill

I can't tell you how opposed I am to the City of Seattle and their plan for bike lanes without the vote of the people that are most effected by it especially when there are perfectly other options already in place that are much safer and have no impact on all the business's in the area

Not in my backyard for sure! I don't ride bikes, so my neighbors probably wouldn't do something that silly either.

I am vigorously opposed to the pending changes on 35th. the changes on 75th have ruined the street for vehicle traffic. I avoid this street now. Changing 35th will destroy the community and make accessibility to the businesses impossible. Quit changing our neighborhoods and negatively impacting seniors and anyone who does not ride a bicycle. These changes have increased travel time and traffic causing people to leave the area. Not everyone can take transit (I have no bus service where I live.) or ride a bike. Please spend our money on fixing potholes and deteriorating streets instead of painting new lanes for bicycle travel when no one or very few use them. Just stop.

Are you saying it makes sense in a different portion?

Yeah, we don't want those commie cyclists supporting the businesses which will die anyway because the bike lanes are going in!

Agreed. And the only way to accommodate these people moving around the city is going to be by increasing parking. I think we should have neighborhood parking garages too!

I know! They should definitely listen to the loudest people rather than the majority.

I mentioned this elsewhere. But could we redistribute the funding for the bike lanes to a parking garage?

M

Can we start a petition to use the funding from this project for more crosswalks, and maybe a couple parking garages?

If traffic isn't moving, then you can't have an accident!!! :)

I too find that cars lining a street really just bring out the charm in a neighborhood!
