Really stupid plan. What's insufficient about the current bike lane on 39th Avenue NE?

I was a bicycle commuter for years before I retired, but the rpposed changes on 35th would not make it bicycle friendly. Much safer to use other streets. The change we need is more pedestrian walk lights.

Cascade Bicycle has pushed their members who do not live in the area and do not ride on 35th to support the plan.
we who are seniors and do not ride bicycles need the parking so we can support our small neighborhood business without driving to Northgate or Lake
city. The installation of more bike lanes on 35th is a duplication of the bike lanes already installed on 39th.

AS I drive around, I see at most 2 bike riders compared to 20 or 30 cars. Just who do you think you represent in making driving more and more difficult? Not me or anyone I know.

Stop bike lanes, keep parking and safe crosswalks. The current plan will not only be bad for 35th but for 34th Ave NE, which is already unsafe and very difficult to use for the property owners.

The plan to restrict traffic on 35th is not realistic c. This is a major transportation route to schools, businesses and communities. We live in the rainy northwest and the simple fact is that you can’t easily get kids to and from school, go to work, get groceries, etc via bike (especially in the rain!),

Please use common sense. 35th Ave. NE is a MAJOR thoroughfare. One lane of traffic both ways will only cause more traffic nightmares, not to mention businesses suffering with no/ dangerous street parking.
39th Ave NE is a perfect Route for bike travel. Have you really studied bicyclist demographics?
This is political now, tragic really.
The Cascade Bike Club and Johnson should be ashamed of themselves. What a sad joke.
