We are seniors that do business on 35th Ave. NE. You are going to eliminate our access to these business, which we have been going to for 40-yrs. You will be effecting these business and we will have to find other places to dine and shop. All for the "BIKE FIRST" mentality of this city.

I live and drive on 35th Ave. NE daily. This is a heavily travelled street with narrow traffic lanes. Adding bike lanes will be a recipe for accidents especially during rainy weather and after dark when it's hard to see bikers.

We want parking, crosswalks and all of our bus stops. Bikes are welcome and do what they want to anyway.

I live off NE 70th by the library. Taking away the bus stop closest to us is a true negative. My 80 year old neighbor rides the bus to all her appointments and I often help her to the bus stop. Making her walk an extra block is going to be a challenge so now she will have to get friends to DRIVE HER. Now you have lost a public transport customer and increased traffic. Who is thinking this stuff through? Or Not rather.

With 3 kids and a full time job, I need to rely on my car to get groceries, park and run the kids to their events and more. Bike lanes are great and we use them. We want them on quiet side streets where we aren't breathing in the fumes and toxins! Start Listening SDOT and the Mayor! We've been trying to tell you this for a long time now. No bike lanes!

As a 365x cyclist, I know the perils of bike lanes. Repaint the Sharrows and leave it at that. Bike on 36th or 34th.

I live in Wedgwood, have 3 school age children and have educated myself about this issue; I do not feel bike lanes on 35th are a safe answer to our traffic issues.

"Those who are most cavalier in public policy will nary suffer the consequences of such." Suggestions for those pushing for elimination of parking on 35th Ave NE. Walk the neighborhood on husky game day (or other UW events) and envision no parking on 35th with spill over to side streets (see angry residents with protective parking cones). Visit your concerned neighborhood businesses and supporters. Imagine the coffee shops and other businesses gone because there is no parking and not enough walk-in traffic. Try parking at the library on a busy afternoon or evening. Now imagine the northeast branch of the library closed due to lack of usage (parking is already a nightmare, there). Imagine increase voter angst from bus drivers riders, and car drivers, and homeowners, and business owners, alike. People might not be able to vote out the underlings who push through bad design, but there could be a reactionary rejection election on other initiatives and levies and on councilman Rob Johnson for District 4.

Why is the city hell bent on use main street for bicycle traffic. Roosevelt is now a street I don't want to use. Don't do it to 35th Ave.

I work from home on 36th Ave and often meet prospective and current clients in the coffee shops on 35th. It is already difficult to find parking on 35th. Eliminating more parking harms access to homes on 35th for residents and is a small business killer for the coffee shops and other businesses along 35th. Plenty of other solutions to improve safety on 35th like lowering speed limit, enforcing the speed limit rigorously, adding left hand turn signal at 75th, a place where I've personally witness an elderly pedestrian women get struck by a car making a "free right turn." Let's make 35th better for ALL constituents, not solely bicyclists, of which I am one. Thank you.

I support changes to 35th Ave, but not the one the city has proposed. Please take the time to listen to the concerns of the neighborhood, and update your plan.

I live on 35th NE. I am for making improvements to safety. But I dont see the need for the bike lane. Bikes can use side streets. Access to our homes from 35th Ave should be a higher priority. Cyclists already have alternative routes. The planned bike lane changes will cause more problems than it will try to fix. Don't build the bike lane!
