This “car shaming” is ridiculous and this bike lane only causes more issues for local business and traffic. I will not stop using my car.

There are already bike routes available. There is already not enough parking on the 35th for businesses. We do not need more bike lanes on major roads like this one. Keep bike lanes on the smaller neighborhood streets to keep everyone safe and keep traffic speeds slower on those neighborhood streets rather than diverting car traffic away from 35th to let bikes ride there.

I enjoy and support the greenway bike streets that run parallel to 35th. With more garageless building on 35th, parking will soon clog side streets, creating congestion on the streets our kids use. I support 3 lanes with parking on 35th.

I live a couple of house off of 35th - currently with the parking we have, drivers park along our street, block our driveways and mailboxes. I am concerned that with the reduced parking this we become more of a nightmare for us residents that live fairly close to any of the businesses. We will see an influx of drivers taking the side streets to avoid the long backups along 35th, right now they use our street to hurry to the elementary school, with no sidewalks on some of the streets, pedestrians will be in more jeopardy walking down our own streets.

Congestion on 35th is already undermining the walk ability of the Wedgwood neighborhood. Adding a bike lane and eliminate parking would further erode the neighborhood. 35th is too busy and crowded as it is. Bicyclist have city funded lane on 39th. Enough, already. Respect the neighborhood.

The plans for changing 35th Ave NE are ill conceived and will cause more problems for a neighborhood that is also facing plans to build many more 5-6 story apartment/condos along 35th and bring more traffic and no additional parking. All of these plans have ignored neighborhood input at meetings simply dismissing our concerns. I have many concerns about these plans and am against these changes.

I strongly oppose the city’s proposed bike lane on 35th. This will have a major traffic impact and increased safety concerns. I’ve lived in the area for over 15 years and this proposal to change it to a bike lane is a horrible idea and will cause more traffic and increased biker dangers. There is amble ways for bikers to travel as they’ve done for years with ease without reducing car lanes for minimul biker traffic, This makes absolutely no logical sense for this type of neighborhood. Listen to the neighbors who live here and put a hold on this and have more community mtgs on the impact this will cause!

Gentrification can be devastating to an established neighborhood. We need to protect those who have lived in the Wedgewood area from being priced out of their homes...and from their neighborhood becoming impossible to navigate by way of losing out on parking for businesses, especially difficult to lose for our elderly residents, Save 35th street from underdevelopment!

35th is efficiently used both morning and afternoon as two lane "express" system to improve traffic flow. The proposed ' built in ' bike lanes would totally bring traffic to a halt during the rush hours. Additionally, bikers already have several signed bike trails through the neighborhood and bikers wanting to speed through can always use the birk-Gillman trail to avoid traffic.

This would obviously hurt businesses in our neighborhood. Seattle does not have a rail system like London or New York, so this would impede access.

A similar change has congested Stone Way Avenue, and added to air pollution because of all the stalled cars. Put the bikes on side streets!
