I frequent many of the businesses on 35th And parking is already a bit tight. I do not support adding bike lanes and increasing the danger of the traffic. Small communities like Wedgwood are part of what makes Seattle special. We should do all we can to support these small, independent businesses.

When the police start giving tickets to bikers who fail to stop at stop signs or obey the law, I'll start supporting projects like this. Oh - when will that happen, never so I'm safe.

Do not ruin my neighborhood with bike lanes and destroy businesses that we need. Bikes do not pay taxes and the city planners do not live in this neighborhood. They are out of touch.

I am a recreational bike rider and very much oppose bike lanes on 35Th Ave NE. It will be dangerous for all - bicyclists, auto drivers, pedestrians, students from Eckstein and will hurt our local small businesses. Please save the money and use it for the bigger concern - our tragic homeless population! And how about licensing bicyclists and enforcing the helmet law and driving laws. So dangerous now !

I'm an avid cyclist, but this is completely unnecessary. There is a great bike route on 39th, and that is more than sufficient for cyclists.

Removing this much parking to install dedicated bike lanes is a misguided plan. I am a bicyclist, and frequently travel parallel to 35th Ave NE. But I travel on 30th Ave; not 35th Ave itself. For people on the W side of 35th Ave, 30th Ave is a perfectly adequate bike route - much safer, more practical, and less impactful than 35th Ave.

I am very concerned about the plan that reduces the parking on 35th since I often use it for library, hair dresser, eating places. it sounds like a nightmare to drive as well as to get parking.

For 28 years I lived close to 35th Avenue and 105th St and biked from there to the UW for work. I didn't need to use 35th or any other arterial to do this safely. I obviously support bicycling but, until we have a New York City-level of subway, the city needs to maintain good driving streets for a balanced transportation system. The 35th Avenue plan is an example of lack of balance.

I agree that the current bike greenway on 38th/39thseems to meet the bicycle riders needs. The current two way lanes on 35th, alternating between morning and evening commuting times allows cars to go around waiting cars trying to turn left. There should be a turn light at the 75th intersection to avoid the bottleneck that happens there. I think one crosswalk is needed on 60th, not all the other ones listed.

35th Ave NE was never designed to be wide enough to handle the complexity of the proposed plans by the City of Seattle. The members of the City Council are suppose to be serving the needs of the local Community where the project is to be implemented.
Sadly, hindsight is 20/20. We should never have gone to a District orientated City Council. It has only resulted political warfare among the Districts, and myopic local divisiveness instead of whole City collaboration.
And while we're at it, we need to bring back the elected City Positions of Comptroller and Treasurer! Although I love water fountains, our taxes should not be flowing like one! And disappearing down the drain!

While I completely support bikers; making additional improvements to the existing greenway/bikeway on 39th would make more sense to keep bikes/cars out of each other’s way
