Ben Urey/LonestarMTN recently wrote a letter asking the Liberian leader to end "freebies" and discounts offered by GSM companies to subscribers. The Liberian Legislature is currently considering a bill to add a 1 cent/per minute tax on all calls. This will end GSM companies to provide any packaged promotions including 3 days free calls, packaged calls or discounted calls to the US.

This will mean that the cost of all calls both local and international will become more expensive because GSM companies will have to charge a flat rate and then the Government of Liberia will add 1 cent to whatever GSM companies charge for calls.

Sign this petition to tell your Representative to NOT pass the bill to add 1cents to each minute and end 3 days free calls and other discounts that GSM companies offer.

Let's say NO to the rich getting richer while the poor suffer.
