Dear Friends: As a former hostage of war criminal Karadzic and Mladic, I urge you to correct one term in your open letter, why? When you operate in such circumstances do not use the fighting-terms, the fighting-language of the enemy – otherwise you have lost before you move one finger. Our enemy has the power, to establish its terms and inhuman spirit in it anyway – we should not with unwariness support this additional and unforced – when you describe, Nadia is "ARRESTED" it is a huge and central different to the much more accurate way to describe the reality of Nadia: "Nadia is hold as hostage" – believe me, I know what I talking about. In your German version it is maybe much seriously – your current version:" in Haft" – this is the terminology for a serious and in all form correct procedure – I guess we agree – here we can't see anything of this – in German language would be appropriate and accurate: "IN GEISELHAFT" – please don't talk in the language of our enemy – other ways you can shoot straight in your own knee and foot! Thank you! No doubt, not everybody has this degree of sensitivity like a former hostage like me – but please don't underestimate our enemy, and don't underestimate the deep effect of language! Thank you! Simon Gerber
