we actually did it, s2games confirmed they are moving forward with development. im honestly in shock that this worked out but i am so happy we proved there is a real appetite for a true sequel. stay tuned for more news when they drop the official announcement.
Savage: The Battle for Newerth was developed by S2Games and released in the year 2003.
It was followed by a sequel Savage 2: A Tortured Soul in year 2008 by the same company.
We wish for development of Savage 3 to start as soon as possible. Savage 2: A Tortured Soul wasn't a true sequel because while it brought in new elements it also removed alot of the old elements that made the first game stand out. Target of the petition is to get Savage 3 into development, not to determine all the small gameplay details.
However here's a summary of what we would like to see in Savage 3 that were streamlined or absent from Savage 2: A Tortured Soul
- Nonlinear technology tree
- Simple yet deep melee combat
- Multiplayer for up to 64 players in a server
- Full VoiP support
- Enhanced in-game clan management
---------------
#1 We the undersigned wish to express our support towards S2Games in creating a third installment in the Savage series.
#2 We are letting S2Games know that there is demand for this type of genre mixing product.
#3 However we would also wish to inform S2Games that Savage 3 would appeal to us more if it borrowed more ingredients from Savage: The Battle for Newerth, rather than Savage 2: A Tortured Soul.
NOTE: You need to agree to all three points in order to sign this petition.

Please s2 just give us what we want. Savage 2 was a total letdown compared to the first one.

The melee in s1 was better. Just make it more like the original and you guys will have a hit on your hands.

Savage 1 was legendary. Nothing else has ever really matched the feeling of that commander mode combined with the rts elements. Bring it back.
