Our names are Aiyanna and Leila. We’re writing this petition as a project for World Savvy. We are trying to raise awareness to show everyone that Saudi Arabian women have less rights than men and are sometimes mistreated. It is in fact part of their religion that they are not allowed to even show their head, only their faces. They have to cover up with hijabs and if they are caught with it off they are shamed by their family if the family agrees with society.
It’s a shame that all these beautiful women aren’t showing their faces and their physique. It’s a shame that they don’t have a right to show how strong they are in public. Don’t get us wrong it’s a beautiful and rich country and if you visit there for vacation it will be beautiful, but like every country it has its flaws and we are trying to help the women there.

This is an important issue and it's very complex. In general, many human rights are not respected in Saudia Arabia for both men and women (freedom of religion, free speech). While much has improved for the Saudi woman (60% of college students are female, more women working in various fields, and recently, women in ministerial and local government positions), there are still basic rights not provided to her (right to drive or travel without male guardian's approval..etc).
