The long standing SGI influenced law in Saskatchewan which states that there is to be no window tint whatsoever on the front side windows must be repealed. The law is not backed up by any substantive evidence, and is being used as a source of revenue rather than in the interest of public safety. Due to this, the automotive community of Saskatchewan demands that SGI and the Saskatchewan government reconsider the validity of the law. Ideally the law should be rewritten to allow reasonable tint which is allowed in the province of Manitoba with no adverse effects. Moderate tint has several benefits which include lowering the temperature of the vehicle in the summer, as well as reducing glare. We, the undersigned, request that this issue be addressed and modified.
