Please reconsider your plan to close SASH. There are few too many Catholic Schools remaining while there are many families who still believe in a religious based school for their children.

The parish promised the parents of SASH students another year in January. They should honor their promise; or they should not have made such a promise. To run the parish as a business is a requirement, but to run it like a corporation and have the grade school children take the fallout is a tragedy. I feel for these parents.

Whenever any Catholic school closes it is heartbreaking. The quality of education should not be sacrificed, and such closings result in that.

Our grandchildren are students at SASH. We sent all our 6 children to Catholic schools in Brooklyn in hopes that they would grow in the Faith. Our sacrifice has paid off. All 6 practice the Faith. We have hoped for the same help and growth in Faith for our grandchildren. Please don't close anymore Catholic schools.

Not having SASH would be a terrible loss to the community. This school has educated many children who have turned out to be great human beings. SASH had a big part in making that happen.

Catholic education is such an incredibly important gift that we give to our children. To limit access to it is so incredibly sad. After school religious education is a wonderful alternative, when it isn't possible to send a child to a catholic school, but it can not replace the environment where children are surrounded by staff and peers who are celebrating and learning their faith together on a daily basis. We must join together and support each other to keep our Catholic Schools open.

So very sad and disappointing to see this happen to our school. The faith that was instilled in my sons from going to Catholic school will remain with them for the rest of their lives. An excellent education has allowed them to have wonderful careers and strong faith. Keep the school open for future generations!

The Roman Catholic parochial school system offers the best education afforded by society. There is a reason why non-Catholics send their kids to Catholic elementary/secondary schools nowadays. Please fight to keep this sacred educational tradition alive.
