In May the League of American Bicyclists awarded Santa Monica a Bronze award for bicycle friendliness. Santa Monica doesn't deserve it, and in giving the award the League ignored the wishes of people who actually ride bikes in Santa Monica. Ask the League to withdraw the award now, or appoint a committee of locals including members of the Bike Writers Collective to reexamine and possibly revoke the award in 2010.
