CALPIRG is working to get the city of Santa Cruz to go solar! The devastating forest fires this summer and now the drought, which is the worst in California state history are clear signs that climate change is impacting our lives. The last thing we should be doing is burning even more fossil fuel to power our lives!
But we have solutions: every hour the sign shines more energy onto the earth than the entire human population uses in a year! By capturing just a tiny fraction of this energy, we can't decrease our dependence on fossil fuels, reduce global warming pollution, and create thousands of new jobs!
