We, the undersigned students of Heritage College, call for the abolishment of the policy against food in the computer labs of the College. Our reasoning behind this is it discriminates against students who must work late or through lunch in order to complete their projects and that no real improvement in the quality of the computers have been noticed since this policy was introduced. Please sign with your full name and student or employee number. We ask this just to verify you are a member of the College and to count accurately the number of supporting members.

Updates

December 14, 2007

I have been hearing from so many of you who are forced to choose between your health and finishing your coursework during those long hours in the labs. I am currently compiling your personal experiences to present to the administration because it is time they understand the reality of our daily struggle.

Seeing this level of support confirms what I felt during those long, hungry nights spent staring at a blank monitor. Knowing so many of you are feeling the exact same frustration makes me realize we finally have the momentum to demand a real change to these lab rules.

the crumbs in the keyboard excuse is old. just get some vacuums and let us eat. college is hard enough without being hungry all day.

Ridiculous. I have a 3 hour lab right through my lunch break. Am I just supposed to starve while I work on my thesis?

FINALLY. The keyboards are just as gross as they were before this rule started. Just let us bring a snack.
