The PEDIG study and protocol is limited in scope treating amblyopia as a monocular and structural entity. The latest research on amblyopia (Amblyopia Treatment Studies) that shows it is a binocular phenomenon and the Sanet/Vergara protocol takes a binocular and functional approach to address it. If COPE requires all lectures to present only what has double blind placebo controlled evidence that would be very few presentations possible. Please consider giving approval to a presentation that deals with this protocol as it is not contradicted by any existing evidence and builds on the latest evidence.
