Hello, Neighbors. The purpose of this petition is to request that at least one, if not more, homeowners be added to the HOA board for Sanctuary East to ensure that homeowner equities are adequately represented in decisions the HOA makes.

Over the past several months, the board has taken a number of unilateral actions, i.e. with little or no homeowner feedback, to effect change in the neighborhood, e.g. establishment of HOA rules and guidelines, priorities for compliance and enforcement of HOA rules, rules/guidelines for amenity use, paint/stain colors, requiring approval and charging fees to maintain our homes (planting trees, staining fences, etc.), just to name a few.

Madison, the developer’s representative, advised that, as of now, the HOA does not plan on adding any homeowners to the board until the neighborhood is 75% developed and occupied. This will take several years, possibly a decade - an unacceptable amount of time for homeowners to go without representation.

My hope is to get as many homeowner signatures as possible and then draft a request to the board to add 2 homeowners immediately. If request is approved, then we can decide as a community who the homeowner reps will be.

Thanks for your consideration.
