Instead of wasting money on ridiculous new uniform that nobody needs or wants, they could spend the money on the schools technology that doesn't work.

I find this absolutely ridiculous. They claim it will make the 'school a better place' but by changing the way the school uniform looks and increasing the prices they are doing anything but that. I see no problem with the school uniform as it is at the minute. How about, instead of changing the uniform, change the attitude to students because there are many students with mental health problems and are being bullied amongst other things, focus on that instead because that is the main problem. Not the uniform, the staffs attitude towards students

A friend has sent me this comment - Have they carried out a consultation with families? Our school tried to do this a few years ago and they had to throw it out because of so many complaints, it just wasn't done properly and they tried to rush it through (we got even less notice because they told us 2 weeks before the summer). There is guidance on the Government website about school uniforms and implementing policy that schools must pay attention to - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-uniform - which you can reference in your argument (renewed since we did it but still makes the same key points, affordability and parent consultation). Also I recommend you get people to write/email individually to the school as this will have a greater impact than one petition. There is also a petition being run on Facebook

The prices are so disgusting! In what way is what my child wearing going to affect what or how she learns??? My child gets bullied and nothing gets done about it because obviously there more interested about their image and how ofsted see them. But my daughter will be getting taken out of this school and I can see many more kids leaving also. Because I am positive there is a lot of single mums like me who are not able to pay these ridiculous prices. Really am disgusted with Samworth

It's absolutely disgusting! & I will not be paying these prices for jacks uniform, I'm all for kids looking smart at school but having a logo on their trousers, skirts if shirts wi not give them a better education! Samworth concentrates more time on the image, the school may certainly look the part but it isn't! I regret on a day basis sending Jack to this school & won't be sending my youngest son! I'm all for rules & regulations, but Samworth church academy don't practice what they preach! Boys can't have pony tails but employs a male teacher with long hair!,students can't colour their hair but they have a receptionist that clearing colours her hair red/ purple! This I have no problem with as it does not effect their teaching or job! What I do have a problem with is sitting there coming out with ridiculous rules Fr the students that doesn't reflect their learning!! But a member of your trusted staff can willingly give a student a extra dose of their medication & nothing gets done about it!
It's disgusting!! & I'm making a stand, my son will not be wearing your new uniform as I as his mother refuse to pay it!!

i personally think the school should concentrate on the education and not the appearance as this school fails in many ways and the uniform isn't one of them but the new ideas are ridiculous and the prices are stupid I WILL NOT BE PAYING FOR IT WHATSOEVER
