My washer started getting rust around the bleach container before it was a year old! Now it is so bad its starting to run into the tub

WA50F9A6DSW Samsung Top-Load Washer - Rust is appearing in the edges of were the plastic insert meets the white painted metal in the bleach compartment as well as above the detergent basket.

Has been that way for some time and can no longer use getting rust on clothes. Machine not that old and seldom used the bleach dispenser. Have to go buy a new one which I cannot afford nor should I have to.

the rust showed up 12 months in. I leave the lid open after each use as much as I can, but the rust has gotten worse. It is in the bleach compartment as well as above the detergent basket. May not buy this brand again.

I have been dealing with this issue for about a month now with Samsung- it has been a total waste of time and energy. The rust first showed up about 18 months into ownership. How shameful!

My Samsung washer, after 1 year started showing rust around the bleach dispenser. I reported it then with no resolve. Now 4 years later, rust peices have started falling into the washer, as it's rusting under the ledge (above the basin).

I contacted samsung, they stated company policy rust is not covered under warranty.

Bleach dispenser has rust and corrosion along all edges. Beginning to affect quality of clothes being washed. Why didn't this get fixed when mandatory repairs to washer lids were done?

We got rust around the bleach dispenser within a couple months of getting this washer. It has progressively gotten worse and worse and be the soap dispenser area has it as well. We have to pick rust and paint flakes out of our laundry every load. Ridiculous that a washer this expensive would have so many issues.

This rust issue started almost immediately. Called Lowes and they sent a repair,an who said it was an aesthetic problem only. Now it's 10 times worse!
