I built and named Samuel Platt’s in 1989 after researching the history of the Ship Canal. I have in my possession the log book of his yacht The Norseman which was left to me by his Daughter who passed away in 1990.

Regular in Platt's for the last 7 years, gutted it's gone. It would be absoloutly fitting for all that went there and the Red Army regulars that this stop is named after the very place that's been taken away from all that went to Sam Platt's.
