Policies are created to ensure that one can serve the community better. If everything is working for the community then why do we need to change it ? It would be wise to address the problem at the root level versus causing inconvenience to the community. The mission / vision statement from YMCA: "As a nonprofit, we are committed to making our community a better place to live, work and play." I would request YMCA to work with CWU and ensure that the current flexible schedules are maintained.

Ability to play badminton in expanded schedule is a critical requirement.

My primary motivation of using YMCA is badminton. Not sure what I can do much without options to play badminton.

Badminton in CWU is the only reason for my membership at Y. We are already facing long wait times between games on Tuesday and Thursday. Like most other friends we can play only in the evenings. The planned changes to the schedule would negatively impact the overall involvement at Y. I request to reconsider the changes and study improving member experience that meets our needs and satisfaction to continue to be a patron at Y.

Having built with tax paid by residents, it absolutely injustice to not listen to the concerns and provide resolution for the badminton schedule and volunteers

CWU facility established to resolve the over crowded issue. Y should consider providing access extended hours to the community may be with more regulated manner. Proving volunteer access and operate the facility not only help Y reduce the cost but help the community . Please consider.

The current volunteer based access has worked great so far and it has now become nearly mandatory given the large number of participants. Both volunteers and participants would gladly sign any additional paperwork required to reinstate access. Unfortunately, the membership is of very little use to lot of us, if the access is taken away.

Allowing the Volunteer access to CWU for Badminton is definitely required. We will need add more days to accommodate the players using this facility. This is the only thing I have been using regularly as a YMCA member.

Badminton facility@CWU is the only 1 reason I have been renewing my Y membership for. In spite of the currently implemented volunteer schedule and flexible timings, CWU gets crowded on all badminton days. If Y administration would restrict this schedule further, without doubt I would be forced discontinue my membership to look for badminton opportunities outside.

Without volunteer access, there is no way to accommodate the big crowd playing badminton every week. Please allow the current volunteer access to continue.

Without badminton Y membership is not useful for me. Also the Y membership price ice is very high and has been increasing steadily. Kindly don’t disrupt the current badminton volunteering schedule. I can sign any waiver form to say Y is not responsible for any of my injuries or anything like that.

I love Ymca.I am in mid 40s ..Maintaining health is very important as you know.Playing badminton is one way to donut.Have restricted timings defeats the whole purpose. The proposed 4 hours in a week badminton’s hours in CW badminton court is a big set back. Please try to provide volunteers access or increase more slots like make it daily. appreciate your help

With players increasing at Y, we need more time or courts for badminton. We have been experiencing longer wait times for playing on regular basis. The decision (limiting the number of hours & taking away the volunteer access) you are about to implement will result in even longer wait times and bring chaos and dissatisfaction. I would like you to either reconsider your decision or open more courts for 3-4 hrs/day and minimum 3 days/week (Tue/Thu/Sat).

Badminton is a key reason for me to be part of YMCA community and just two evening slots in a week makes it quite constrained for interest members to play due to crowding. More slots allow members to distribute across days and effectively play games. Either YMCA should add evening slots for everyday or CWU should allow volunteers efforts to help manage community interest.

YMCA-badminton is one of the primary drivers for me to enroll in YMCA & has been working well for me & my family. Taking out volunteer access & reducing the slots will be a significant constraint & request the concerned authorities to reconsider the decision.

We love the flexbility of player volunteers and the exclusive CWU facility for playing badminton. We would like you to continue with what has been working so well for many members. Evening and weekend access is key for most of us, given that most of us are working professionals. Also, given that there are only 3 courts available and 100+ players, the official schedule is quite limiting to get quality play.

We have a large group of players interested in badminton and we all are working professionals. Having said this, having facility available after hours will help us enjoy the play. I am strongly requesting you to continue having facility open after late hours.

Badminton is the biggest motivation for me and my family to join YMCA. Reducing badminton schedules or removing extended facility hours is surely going to force me to seriously think about discontinue membership with no further motivation
