One of the reasons deranged mass murderers kill is because they believe their empty lives will gain fame and notoriety. Even when they commit suicide, it's with the idea that they will have left a mark for their posterity. This petition seeks to collect 1,000,000 names to send to various media outlets that request they take action to obscure these people so their names are in no way aggrandized, for a minimum of 90 days. After 90 days the news cycles will have moved on so far away from the emotion of the story that the purpose of being aggrandized will have faded. This is not meant to protect the killers but to deny them the "glory" they think their heinous actions will promote. They do not deserve public attention, they deserve obscurity.
