To our government representatives: As taxpayers in Richland and Lexington Counties and the State of South Carolina, we respectfully request an address to our grievance regarding the dangerous traffic situation that the intersection of Salem Church Road and Dreher Shoals Road (Hwy 6) poses to our area. We continue to hear rumors that something is being done about this, but see no activity. This intersection has already caused numerous accidents and at certain times of the day we feel like we have to take our lives and the lives of our loved ones in our own hands just to enter traffic. It is a scary situation and we would like something done about this, whether that be a widening of Hwy 6 or a stop light at this intersection.
