This is a despicable act to say the least. How can lawmakers in the fourth poorest country on the face of the earth 'earn' more than US Congress members? Say no to exorbitant salaries for public officials!

To start, I am proposing that legislators salaries be reduced as below:
1. Senator = $5,000/net monthly compensation &
2. Representative = $3,500/ net monthly compensation
Condition for future increase:
a. Legislative salary compensation shall be considered for increase only in the event that the country records at least two (2) years of consecutive national budgetary surplus.
b. That the increase under consideration shall not exceed 10% of current net compensation amount.
